In 2011, BIOCOM will continue to advance its highly successful programs that aim to engage the FDA in a constructive dialogue, including holding regular town hall meetings and further utilizing our internal advocacy staff, contract lobbyist in Sacramento, and well-established clout in Washington D.C. Additionally, BIOCOM will feature lectures and workshops with expert speakers to better equip members with the background and tools needed to productively influence the FDA process.
BIOCOM will launch its first annual Global Life Science Partnering Conference. Partnering brings in 50 percent of the investment dollars to the region's life science companies. The Global Partnering Conference will foster relationships between small biotech, Big Biotech and Big Pharma by bringing together senior executives and business development professionals from leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The exclusive event will give BIOCOM members and attendees valuable face-time with decision makers at potential partnering companies.
BIOCOM will remain committed to the growth of the Asia Initiative by continuing to develop and identify opportunities for companies and organizations that have an interest in expanding their business globally.
BIOCOM's CRO Initiative will continue to foster the creation of an outsourcing community, while remaining vigilant in identifying opportunities to connect member companies to this expanding network.
BIOCOM's Medical Device & Diagnostics Group will embrace the rapidly evolving MHealth community and provide valuable programming for members.
BIOCOM is committed to catalyzing the achievements of our members, and all of our offerings in the coming year will clearly reflect this commitment. BIOCOM will continue to sponsor events, launch programs, form coalitions and develop workshops that are relevant to the industry and beneficial to BIOCOM members.
