BIOCOM Announces Endorsements for 2008 Election

After an endorsement committee consisting of members of the BIOCOM board of directors interviewed candidates in the 1st, 3rd and 7th San Diego City Council District races, as well as the San Diego City Attorney contest, BIOCOM is pleased to announce that its full board has voted to endorse the following City of San Diego candidates:

San Diego City Attorney: Jan Goldsmith
Judge Jan Goldsmith identifies the role of the City Attorney as that of being akin to the corporate counsel to City of San Diego. As such, Judge Goldsmith pledged to improve the relationship with the Mayor and Council to best represent the corporation that is the City of San Diego. BIOCOM is confident that Goldsmith can forge a more effective working environment with the Mayor and Council while still effectively representing the citizens who elect him to office. April Boling demonstrated a strong understanding of the complex financial issues facing the City of San Diego.
