Help Students Send an Experiment to Space

The Commercial Reusable Experiments for Science and Technology (CREST-1) mission is scheduled to fly aboard the historic last scheduled Space Shuttle flight STS-134, launching 26 February 2011, and provides investigators with several flight-proven, miniature laboratories that are capable of simultaneously accommodating up to 120 separate bioscience investigations for microgravity experimentation.   More information can be found here: http://www.american-aerospace.net/crest1.html

American Aerospace would like to involve as many students as possible through the Student Spaceflight Experiment Program (SSEP) http://ssep.ncesse.org/. The Space Shuttle mission STS-134 was just recently pushed back to Feb 26, 2011.  The good news is that this places the timing of the SSEP science curriculum well within the context of a single academic year.   The bad news is that this gives American Aerospace a short window in which to find funding to establish student programs by the beginning of the school year, so that students can take full advantage of the opportunity.

Any offers of support or participation would be greatly appreciated, and advance the cause of STEM education.  Please call Alex Howerton at 267-421-6555 or email ahowerton@american-aerospace.net for details. Thank you for your attention.
