BIOCOM and BioSpace Launch Online Life Science Career Center for Southern California
SAN DIEGO, CA– Apr. 24, 2007— BIOCOM, the association for the Southern California life science community, has partnered with online career center BioSpace to launch www.BIOCOMCareerCenter.org, a job-focused Web site giving employers and potential employees a one-stop shop for posting and searching resumes and job listings throughout the Southern California life science industry.
“BioSpace has developed a Web site with BIOCOM that offers a place for talented job seekers to find great life science career opportunities,” said Kristie Ford, associate director of workforce development at BIOCOM. “This site also gives our members and industry leading companies from San Diego to Los Angeles a place to list job openings and find the best employees among a diverse talent base.”
Through the new online career center, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, along with hospitals, health care, service and supply companies can post employment opportunities on www.BIOCOMCareerCenter.org and search the online candidate resume database.
Job candidates looking for employment in the Southern California biomedical industry are able to create accounts, apply for both scientific and non-scientific jobs and post their resumes for viewing by local employers.
As part of the partnership, BIOCOM and BioSpace will also collaborate on an annual California Life Science Career Fair and the Biotech Beach Hotbed Campaign, designed to showcase job openings and promote the life science community in Southern California.
