BIOCOM Institute
The BIOCOM Institute serves as a bridge between learning institutions and life science companies to build comprehensive education initiatives that advance science literacy.
BIOCOM and its members believe that an aggressive workforce development agenda is needed to meet the life science industry’s demand for skilled workers. That is why the BIOCOM Board of Directors unanimously approved to create a charitable 501(c)(3) corporation called the BIOCOM Institute. The mission of the BIOCOM Institute is to offer education programs that increase science literacy within Southern California. This new entity will expand upon the workforce and education activities currently undertaken by BIOCOM.
Innovation is a key factor for successful workforce development programs. Experiential opportunities are statistically proven to increase interest in science career pathways. The Institute has been partnering with key agencies, biotechnology companies, and learning institutions to create these pioneering programs. We hope to foster the next generation of science leaders that will potentially save lives through scientific discovery.
