Noel C. Gillespie is partner in the Carmel Valley branch of the San Diego office of Baker & McKenzie LLP, where he is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. He counsels clients on ways to build strategic patent portfolios that protect the client's technology and help them achieve their business objectives. This process includes developing claim strategies that create market barriers and protect or create revenue streams. The process also includes preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign Patent Applications. In particular, Mr. Gillespie has extensive experience in dealing with telecommunications companies, including companies involved with wireless, wired, and optical communications technology, as well as with medical device companies and software/Internet companies.
