Capital Development & Partnering Committee

Mission Statement

This committee provides a centralized forum within the life science community for all capital development related issues, seeking to address the increased need for capital, throughout the life science industry, in this challenging economic environment.

Committee Responsibilities

Plan Workshops

Assist in the planning of workshops, including securing speakers.

Encourage Participation

Encourage participation from industry through workshops and events.

Community Outreach

Participate in community outreach to as it relates to capital development.

Act as a Resource

Act as a resource for the Biocom California membership.

Keeper of Facts

Act as the keeper of facts for the Greater California region as it pertains to the life science industry.

Biocom California Responsibilities

Communication

Provide official communication to committee members through agendas.

Clear Procedures

Provide clear procedures for participation in each program.

Marketing Materials

Prepare and distribute marketing materials to promote programs.

Ensure Accuracy

Ensure accurate and updated information in publications.

Organize Logistics

Organize logistics for Capital Development committee meetings.

Committee Chairs

Committee Admissions Requirements

Prospective committee members must be Biocom California Board Members or appointed by a Board Member. To ensure a strong working committee, committee members are required to attend/call in to at least six capital development-related meetings per year to maintain a seat on the committee. Meetings take place once a month (dates discussed at the planning meeting) at 8:30 AM.
