Program Manager, Partner Program | Biocom Institute

Position Summary:

The Program Manager will manage a portfolio of Biocom Institutes Genomics programs. The manager will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and experiences for specific populations including teachers, students, employees, and companies, expanding Biocom Institute’s presence throughout California.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in developing and evolving the overall program design of Biocom Institute initiatives
  • Communicate and work with key industry and education partners in designing and facilitating programs
  • Facilitate and provide oversight for workshops and trainings
  • Assist in recruiting students, teachers and member companies to participate in Biocom Institute education programs
  • Coordinate and support participants throughout their program experience
  • Collect data, create reports, surveys and data reviews relevant to measuring the impact of programs
  • Present and report to relevant stakeholders about the programs
  • Maintain curriculum, supplies and lab equipment related to the programs
  • Perform other duties consistent with the goals and objectives of this position as assigned


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Masters’ degree in biology or a life science field is preferred
  • Basic understanding of genomic education or related field
  • Familiarity with lab and safety protocols
  • At least 3 years’ experience in program development.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and timelines
  • Proven expertise in community engagement, and volunteer coordination
  • Familiarity with current techniques and procedures used in program design and development
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
  • Salesforce experience preferable
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable leading teams

  • Strong commitment in delivering the highest quality work
  • Highly resourceful, solutions oriented and flexible with changing priorities and dynamic environment
