Sr. Director, Business Systems

Position Summary:

This position of the Sr. Director, Business Systems, is responsible for all the business systems used within the organization. Systems including our salesforce.com instance, internal and external websites, collaboration, and communication tools, as well as our entire data management systems.  Additionally, the Sr. Director, Business Systems will partner with Operations leadership and our manager of IT on management of our physical IT infrastructure and cybersecurity. The Sr. Director will manage a team of internal FTE’s and external contractors in order to deliver on team and company goals and objectives. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee systems team and contracted developers to create and update current applications, websites, and various database automations;
  • Create and manage the technical development roadmap;
  • Utilize resources and manage relevant budgets;
  • Direct and prioritize the workload of Business Systems staff;
  • Coordinate and facilitate training of systems staff and oversees training and systems documentation;
  • Partner with leadership on overseeing all employee training where systems and technology are involved;
  • Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommend technical solutions;
  • Work with functional teams to streamline processes to improve the customer experience, sales growth and system efficiencies;
  • Diplomatically cultivate an action-based culture of continuous improvement for KPIs, in the areas of customer membership, finance, people (HR), and quality/accuracy;
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field is required;
  • Master’s in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of related field experience including:
  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience working in CRM development projects (Salesforce CRM Preferred);
  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience of people management;
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Project Management;
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience administering/developing for salesforce.com;
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in software development; and
  • Hands on experience with IT security, infrastructure, and systems administrations.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with key internal partners;
  • High ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct;
  • Excellent solid written, oral, and presentation-giving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational, detail oriented, time-management, and problem-solving skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
  • Skilled in Salesforce business process automation mechanisms;
  • Have an understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, XML, APEX, Visualforce, AURA is a plus;
  • Knowledge of using Pardot, Einstein Analytics and Salesforce Communities Cloud is a plus; and
  • Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.
