Sr. Sales Operations Manager

Position Summary:

The Sr. Sales Operations Manager will serve as an integral member of Biocom California’s Sales organization. Responsibilities include analyzing, managing and driving all sales operations, processes and projects. Responsibilities also include leading and executing strategic organizational objectives including the development and launch of new initiatives, products and service solutions, managing and optimizing the sales automation tools, operationalizing key strategic campaigns, and reporting on key activities, metrics and trends. The Sr. Sales Operations Manager will report directly to the Chief Business Officer (CBO) and will be responsible for sales enablement across the organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, resourceful, flexible, collaborative, curious, process oriented, accountable and results driven with timely execution of assignments.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Generate plans and build momentum around new business
  • Analyze data trends to improve strategies, optimize sales effectiveness and determine areas of focus
  • Support short- and long-term sales forecasts by helping to define strategy, targets and activities across direct and indirect channels
  • Implement comprehensive pipeline reporting tools tracking opportunities from lead generation to revenue realization, account development, and retention
  • Developing key performance metrics and sales programs that bring focus to performance drivers within the organization, and help improve conversion rates and shorten the sales cycle
  • Identify, execute and follow up on sales campaigns (internal and external)
  • Support CBO with Sales analysis, reporting, and training
  • Participate and shape monthly sales meetings with all relevant stakeholders
  • Manage and analyze sales forecasting data accuracy and identify trends and opportunities
  • Monitor pipeline activity and trends, and adjust sales strategy and activities to achieve objectives
  • Develop and execute sales campaigns and cross sale strategies across the organization, including support for team individual sales plans
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful and timely execution of key sales-related projects
  • Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement and facilitate changes to ensure quality
  • Responsible for sales commission calculations and reporting and working with the CBO and HR to ensure sales incentive design(s) are balanced to motivate appropriately yet challenging and competitive to meet sales & department objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent preferred
  • 8+ years’ experience in a business-to-business sales organization
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel; Analytical Capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of database use in marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to use Internet, print publications and other tools for research and informational purposes.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, strong decision-making ability, confidence to make difficult decisions and excellent communication skills
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to translate big picture ideas into daily objectives
  • Visionary leader with successful track record of voicing and implementing executable strategies for success
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to persuade others
  • Ability to lead and influence across a diverse organization
  • Ability to identify improvements needed in reporting, analytics, forecasting and performance metrics
  • Excellent presentation skills and a strong executive presence
