Mentors Needed for 2020 I-Corps™ Bio-Entrepreneurship Workshop

Mentor early-career life science researchers from groups underrepresented in biotechnology research organizations through the 2020 I-Corps™ Bio-Entrepreneurship Workshop, which will be held August 3-14 in a virtual format. Participants include research-active assistant professors, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and advanced undergraduates from universities and colleges nationwide.

Benefits of Participating:

  • Promote diversity within Biotechnology in your region by engaging with
  • underrepresented workshop participants
  • Connect with participants in your region and provide ongoing resources
  • Work with teams as they solve problems through entrepreneurial concepts
  • Assist teams in developing a professional network and provide feedback as they execute customer discovery through BIO’s partnering software

Commitment/Schedule

  • Friday, August 7: Team interview prep
  • Monday, August 10: Interview prep (provide feedback to mock interviews)
  • Tuesday–Thursday, August 11–13: Be available for team consultation for each day
  • Friday, Aug 14: Finale and debriefing (lessons learned), optional
