Nexdigm (SKP) has recently won the title of ‘Advisory Project of the Year’ at the 8th Digital Accountancy Forum and Awards 2019 hosted by the International Accounting Bulletin (IAB). This prestigious award is contested globally by industry leaders who showcase exceptional work done in the Business Consulting space.

Nexdigm won this award for providing project management support to Cardinal Health Inc. for a post-merger integration with an established medical supplies/patient recovery business.

The project was a complex undertaking with several sub-segments and was executed for 20 countries in the Asia Pacific region (APAC). Two of these segments are:

Set up of a Replenishment Hub
The team conceptualized the demand plan for a Replenishment Hub capable of supplying hundreds of SKUs (across several product categories) and servicing multiple distribution centers, which cater to end customers across APAC.

The hub set up was executed within record time while deftly managing complex regulatory, compliance, and product registration requirements across countries.

APAC Service and Repair (S&R) Operationalization
The operationalization of the Service and Repair function involved:

  • Defining and implementing the setup plan for a Technical Service Centre of Excellence (CoE) for S&R operations
  • Creating an inventory and logistics plan for required spare parts for S&R after assessing different business risks and KPI targets

The case study and video below will give you an insight into the specifics of the project, along with the approach the team took to create maximum impact and execute the project without any disruption in business.

As Shawn McBride, VP APAC Supply Chain & Commercial Operations and Integration Management Office, Cardinal Health, put it in his words, ‘this expansion came with major operational and strategic challenges,’ and Nexdigm (SKP) was a ‘crucial partner in the successful and timely execution of this project.’

IAB’s ‘Advisory Project of the Year’ is awarded to a local firm or global network/association which has been working on an advisory project or projects of significant importance or scale demonstrating the organization’s advisory abilities.
