On Wednesday, February 19th EDF Renewables North America, a local renewable energy development company will host a ceremony at their corporate headquarters to celebrate the operation of their on-site microgrid system.

The celebration will take place at 10:00 am at 15445 Innovation Drive, San Diego. Following the celebration, a tour of the microgrid will be offered to all attendees. If you would like to attend, please email Sean Mazelli at sean.mazelli@edf-re.com.

Innovation Drive Microgrid
The innovation drive project is located at the EDF Renewables corporate campus that houses over 450+ local employees. The project is a full microgrid that consists of a solar carport, solar roof top, battery storage and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The fully integrated system flattens not only EV load but manages the entire facility’s energy consumption patterns to reduce SDG&E utility bills. The system is tailored to the facility’s unique characteristics and requirements, turning the parking lot, roof top, and employee EV charging into a sustainable clean energy asset.
