Biocom California Member Commitments

Signatories commit to addressing the following areas through measurable, ongoing action.

  1. We will attract, promote, and retain a diverse organization, creating pathways to provide opportunities for BIPOC and other underrepresented populations in the life science industry.
  2. We will implement effective practices to foster a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and anti-racist work environment.
  3. We will create accountability systems within our companies both to share regular updates and to track and measure our progress.

    Biocom California Institute DEI Report

Biocom California Institute uncovered the state of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) across life science companies in California. In 2020, Biocom Institute conducted a study to analyze the industry’s current DEI landscape and 335 California life science companies participated in the study. The survey findings provide a basic framework for Biocom Institute and the California life science industry to develop an actionable DEI implementation plan.
