Biocom Institute | HR Biotech Group (HRBG)

Mission Statement
Biocom Institute and HR Biotech Group (HRBG) have come together to facilitate interaction amongst life science Human Resources professionals across California. The mission of this partnership is to provide a forum for HRBG members to share resources, ideas, practices, policies and programs, and networking opportunities in a fun and collaborative environment within the California life sciences industry.

Committee Make-Up
This committee is open to all who work or have responsibilities in the Human Resources profession in California within Life Sciences, Medical Device and Diagnostics. HRBG members who joined prior to this partnership who are outside of these parameters are welcome to remain in the group. There is no fee to join and we encourage word-of-mouth promotion to attract more committee members.

Committee Responsibilities
This committee provides a collaborative environment for HR professionals to ask questions, seek guidance from peers and share information. Committee members will be invited to two meetings per year and one meeting for Biocom California members only per year for professional development and/or networking. Through the Biocom Institute, committee members will receive access to the latest information on workplace trends, talent acquisition, compliance, total rewards, and other critical strategic human resources focus areas.

Committee Members
The committee maintains a membership directory to facilitate member interaction. Permission to access and use the information contained in the member directory is restricted.

The committee will use the Microsoft Teams application to facilitate discussions, information sharing and networking. Every committee member shall be professional, polite, and respectful of other members and their questions and responses. Please be mindful of the sharing of your company’s proprietary or confidential information. Members may not send unsolicited messages to group members for the purpose of “advertising”, except in the case of open HR positions or upcoming events and webinars related to Human Resources. Postings that do not follow these guidelines may be removed without notification to the member responsible for the post.

Members may not provide their login information to the Microsoft Teams platform nor share information obtained through their membership with the group to those not in the membership directory.

The HRBG Chair or Biocom Institute reserves the right to accept or reject members at any time and for any reason, including validated complaints that may arise from members.
