Legislative Committee

Mission Statement

This committee serves as an advisory committee to the Public Policy Oversight Committee. It conducts an in-depth review and discussion of all proposed Biocom legislative positions at the local, state and federal levels of government and determines which ones merit Biocom positions. As such, it is one of the most active working committees within Biocom. The committee also reviews and gives recommendations for legislative education and outreach programs which Biocom may provide or participate in.

Committee Make-Up

The committee is led by two co-chairs; membership on the committee is open to all Biocom members in good standing. Regular participation in committee meetings or policy related events is required to continue as a voting member of the committee. In cases where more than one person within the same company participates in the committee, that company shall be limited to one vote on any voting issues.
