Los Angeles Facilities/EH&S Committee

Mission Statement

The joint Facilities/EH&S committee provides a central forum in the Los Angeles life science community for professionals working in these fields to share best practices, participate in continuing education opportunities, and design workshops and events. Topics include construction, permitting, lab/office design, inspections, and other issues involved in operating a facility.

Committee Responsibilities

Plan Workshops

Assist in planning of workshops, including securing speakers.

Mentoring

Serve as a mentoring platform for facility managers from smaller companies.

Regulation

Keep abreast of regulations and code changes that will impact the life science industry.

Biocom California Responsibilities

Secure Participation

Secure participation from government offices, industry and non-industry companies.

Act as a Resource

Act as a resource for the Biocom California membership regarding facilities.

Provide Updates

Provide legislative and regulatory updates to committee members.

Solicit Input

Solicit input from committee members on legislative and regulatory proposals.
