Biocom Bay Area was extremely proud to host Luke Timmerman’s San Francisco Cancer Summit, which benefited the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. This unique all day conference was part of the Climb to Fight Cancer campaign, a fundraising effort for cancer research that has evolved from award-winning journalist, Luke Timmerman’s summit of Mt. Everest to support cancer research. This year, Luke and biotech executives and investors have committed to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, with sponsor dollars going to Fred Hutch cancer research. The SF Cancer Summit highlighted some of the climbers, and the prominent research and development that is emerging in the cancer space. Some of the leading scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors came to discuss how they are thinking about the future of cancer research.
