Submitting Your News
The Biocommunique is released every two weeks on Thursday or as published in the "About Biocom" section. All submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to publication. The publication has a mailing list of more than 10,000 subscribers, with the current issue and archives available here.
Biocom accepts newsworthy items (i.e. press releases, articles, submissions, etc) from member companies for publication in the biweekly Biocommunique.
Advertising or advertorial content is not accepted, and all notices are subject to editing for content and length. Word limit on Biocommunique notices is 300 words with an emphasis placed on sending interested readers to Web sites for additional information.
Submit your information as a Microsoft Word document without formatting (i.e. bullet points, charts, text boxes, different fonts/sizes) in an e-mail to the editor, Lauren Panetta. Reasonable efforts will be made to include Web sites or URL links to other sites. Adobe Acrobat files (i.e. PDF files), logos and JPEGs cannot be used and will not be included. Please convert PDF files to text in a Word document and include live Web links to already-posted JPG images.
Graphics and logos should be submitted as links to posted graphics on your company's Web site.
If you are a member of Biocom, or are a non-member with a Southern California event of interest to Biocom members that does not compete with members, the Biocommunique will accept Event notices for its Member Events section. Non-member events may be subject to a charge for placement.
Event notices will be run up to three issues (six weeks) before the event.
Please click here to login to Biocom’s Web site and submit your company or organization’s upcoming events to be included in our community calendar and the next Biocommunique. (Click on the ‘Submit Community Event’ on the left side and login to BIOCOM’s Web site). All submissions are subject to editing and approval.
Submitting articles and announcements is a benefit of Biocom membership.
If you have questions or comments about articles in the Biocommunique, please direct them to Lauren Panetta at Biocom, 858-455-0300 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
