Please join us for a Roundtable with USPTO Director Andrei Iancu to discuss innovation, patent, and IP issues important to California’s life science community. This is a unique opportunity to talk directly to Director Iancu, who oversees one of the largest intellectual property offices in the world, with more than 12,000 employees, and serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary of Commerce on domestic and international IP policy matters. 

Director Iancu was approved unanimously by the U.S. Senate on February 5, 2018 and was sworn in on February 8, 2018, succeeding Michelle Lee. Prior to joining the USPTO, Mr. Iancu was the Managing Partner at Irell & Manella LLP in Los Angeles and taught patent law at the UCLA School of Law, his alma mater.
