Many veterans looking to leverage their military skills, discipline, and commitment to the business world consider starting companies of their own. Whether your enterprise is still in the early planning stages or you’re trying to grow an existing venture, our three-week program can help you identify what you need to do and how to do it. With the assistance of veterans who have established successful legal practices at our law firm and other entrepreneurial attorneys and professionals who have counseled start-ups and early-stage companies, you’ll learn the fundamental components of business success and gain confidence to pursue your goals.

Advising entrepreneurs on the formation and growth of new businesses is a cornerstone of our San Diego practice. We would be honored to share our insight with you in this free informative series, and look forward to watching your enterprise take root and prosper in the years and decades ahead.

Unlocking the Potential of Remote Clinical Trials: From Pilot Studies to Platforms

Unlocking the Potential of Remote Clinical Trials:

From Pilot Studies to Platforms

Learn what ResearchKit, remote patient research, and patient engagement platforms can really do

SUMMARY. The "remote" clinical trial model may be the way of the future for conducting clinical research for the pharmaceutical industry. Remote trials - also called digital, virtual, or mobile trials, reduce or eliminate  the contribution of research sites, and patients conduct most of the trial procedures from their own homes. Conducting trials remotely can address cost concerns, reduce timelines, and achieve higher levels of patient engagement compared to site-based models. The remote model has been gaining traction, and several large Pharma companies have begun experimenting with it.

This program features pioneers and leaders in remote clinical research from Southern California, who will demonstrate the capabilities of Apple ResearchKit and the platforms they created to enable the conduct of remote research studies for their pharma and CRO clients. Jeff Frazier from THREAD Research will discuss the capabilities and benefits of Apple ResearchKit and remote patient research compared to the traditional site-based clinical research model.  David Turner from Parallel 6 will illustrate the patient engagement strategy for their mClinical patient engagement platform.  Penny Randall, M.D., from QuintilesIMS, will discuss the feasibility of using a telemedicine platform to assess Alzheimers disease in a clinical trial.
