Veteran Career Mentoring Program provides the support of mentors, exposure, introductions, referrals and industry specific knowledge to increase the confidence of veterans in their networking abilities and equip them to be competitive in the job search/interview process. At the end of the program veterans should be able to know whether or not the life science and biotechnology industries are the right fit. The Goal of the Biocom Institute Veteran mentorship program is to provide local veterans interested in obtaining gainful employment in the following sectors: biotechnology, medical devices, wireless health, and similar fields, meaningful career readiness experiences. These career readiness experiences include, but are not limited to the following: building networking skills, leadership mentoring, and providing key event opportunities focusing on achieving individual goals.
NOTE: Participation in program does not guarantee job placement or job offer from mentor. Mentorship does not replace employment, skill or educational gaps. All military branches are welcome to apply.

How It Works
- Up to 30 veterans will be paired with industry professionals who have successfully transitioned from the military
- Mentors and mentees commit to a minimum monthly contact of one (1) time per month in person OR two (2) times via phone in addition to program specific sponsored events.
- One session will run from July-October and a second will run from September-December.
- Limited to San Diego county residents.
