About Public Policy

Advocating for a Greater Life Science Future

About Public Policy

Biocom drives advocacy and public policy initiatives on behalf of the California life science industry. Since its founding in 1995, Biocom has emerged as the most respected voice in regional government, the State Capitol, and Washington, D.C. by leveraging several proprietary programs and committees to encourage public officials to pass legislation that is positive to the California life science industry, while working to defeat proposals that would be detrimental.

Public Policy Committees

Public policy committees give members the opportunity to get involved with Biocom’s legislative priorities, events, and goals. With six specialized committees focusing on topics ranging from facilities and safety to intellectual property, committees serve as an open forum for members to network and actively discuss prominent trends and issues. Committees also help plan events relevant to the industry centered upon timely topics.
