Biocom PAC

The Biocom PAC (Political Action Committee) is a non-partisan California state committee established to fundraise and make political contributions to elect candidates and promote issues that improve the environment for business and innovation for California’s life science industry.

Established in 1996, Biocom PAC contributors (individuals and corporations) enjoy a variety of benefits, including admission to many California political events. The Biocom PAC conducts two annual signature events, the Biocom PAC Elected Officials Reception and its Legislative Staff Appreciation Reception.

Contributions to the Biocom PAC (CA ID #963088) are voluntary and are NOT deductible as charitable contributions for federal or state income tax purposes.

2018 Biocom PAC Elected Officials and Candidates Reception

The Biocom PAC Elected Officials and Candidates Reception is a unique forum in which Biocom members have the opportunity to engage the representatives who make important decisions impacting the life science community, as well as those who are candidates to become those policy makers. It is a great chance to support the PAC and get face-to-face with some of the most influential leaders in California. On September 17, 2018 members, along with officials and candidates from the City, County, State, and Federal levels of government, enjoyed a delightful afternoon of food, networking and great conversation.

2018 Biocom PAC Legislative Staff Appreciation Reception

The Legislative Staff Appreciation Reception is held annually to honor the legislative staff whose invaluable expertise and behind-the-scenes work ensures our legislative process runs smoothly. This fundraiser for the Biocom PAC is one of its two signature events of the year. On April 25, 2018 the Biocom PAC hosted more than 50 legislative staffers and industry members to recognize their hard work on behalf of their bosses.
