CRO Committee Guidelines

 
 

Mission Statement

This committee was formed to build a unique support network between industry companies and CRO’s. The committee is comprised of representatives that have expertise in discovery, development, manufacturing, clinical research and/or marketing of therapeutic, device and diagnostic products. Committee members help to identify ways that industry members can work with CRO’s to strategize about their specific needs.

Committee Make-Up

To ensure a strong working committee, participation includes a committee chair and committee members. Committee members are required to attend/call in to at least four CRO meetings per year to maintain a seat on the committee. Meetings take place every-other month usually on the third Thursday from 8:00 – 9:30 am.

Committee Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning of educational events and networking events, including developing themes, drafting marketing descriptions and identifying and securing speakers.
  • Participate in community outreach to bolster committee participation, as well as outreach to life science clusters throughout California.
  • Act as a resource to Biocom members regarding outsourcing matters. Biocom Responsibilities
  • At the direction of the committee chair, provide official communication to committee members through agendas, emails, and background documents for all committee meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute marketing materials to promote any CRO related events and/or workshops and activities, including registration materials.
  • Ensure accurate and updated information on CRO website and in all marketing materials.
  • Organize logistics for CRO committee meetings.
