Biocom’s Facilities Committee brings together industry facility managers, landlords, architects, brokers, and lab suppliers to share best practices, participate in continuing education opportunities, and plan workshops and events. Over the past year, Biocom has augmented our Facilities and EH&S activities in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. We have held workshops this year in these regions, as well as San Diego, on timely and relevant topics including: physical/cyber security, commuting alternatives, business continuity, and energy savings.

We also hosted a successful inaugural Bay Area Facilities Reception in the spring, partnering with the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) to welcome 60 attendees to Haworth’s impressive showroom in downtown San Francisco. Biocom’s committee activities in the Facilities and EH&S space are unique to our association, and we are proud to continue to grow these offerings for our members.

Join us in San Diego on November 1st for one of Biocom’s biggest events of the year: the 14th Annual Facilities Reception, put on by our Facilities Committee, IFMA, and ISPE.

This year’s reception will be held once again at Illumina’s i3 campus from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The reception is geared toward facility managers and service providers, but is open to all. This is your opportunity to mingle and network with over 200 facility managers, Environmental Health & Safety professionals, and the vendors that provide services to member facilities. More information and registration details here.

Thank you to this year’s sponsors:

Host Platinum: BioMed Realty
Platinum: BioSurplus, IPS, and Heritage Global Partners
Silver: Biozenic, Cannon Building, Ferguson Pape Baldwin Architects, Industrial Commercial Systems, KONE Corporation, and Water Works
