Earlier this month, the Biocom Board of Directors voted to approve an organizational support position for Proposition 14, The California Stem Cell Research, Treatments, and Cures Initiative of 2020. Its predecessor measure, Proposition 71, positioned California as the unquestioned international leader in stem cell work, a vital part of the life science ecosystem in California. This ballot measure would insure the continued operation of the work of the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), awarding grants to entities that conduct research, trials, and programs related to stem cells, as well as start-up costs for facilities.
