Anticipating the June 15th California “reopening,” the Cal-OSHA Standards Board met twice in June trying to develop workplace standards past the 15th. Ultimately, they deferred a decision until its next regularly scheduled meeting which took place today, June 17th. At that meeting, they voted to adopt the draft regulations that were posted on their website on Friday, June 11. With the urgency of these standards, Governor Newsom has announced he will sign an Executive Order making the Board's action effective immediately.

Under these approved regulations, fully vaccinated persons can go unmasked and without social distancing limitations in most places.CapRadio provides this excellent summary on the present state of the issue. At a press conference in San Diego on Friday, the governor stated the state is finalizing an electronic verification system for businesses, although further details were not available.
