Every year, our advocacy fly-in is a hit among Biocom members who wish to learn more about our legislative and regulatory environment and meet with regulators and legislators in an intimate setting to directly educate them about their research and discuss new developments and issues of concern.

This year’s fly-in will focus on Rare Diseases. It is a free event hosted by Biocom as a benefit of membership from March 9 to 11 in Washington DC. No policy experience is required. Click here to register and here to view our brochure.
The Fly-in program includes:

    • Visits to federal agencies, such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH), and meetings with senior officials
    • Meetings on Capitol Hill with California Members of Congress or their staff
    • Supporting briefing materials to train you on the advocacy process and key legislative issues
    • A welcome dinner to meet participants and prepare for meetings
    • Transportation to and from meetings
    • Networking with your peers from across the state
    • Dedicated staff to help you plan for and assist you during your trip
Be sure to take advantage of this unique opportunity to get involved in federal policy! Space is limited (no more than two representatives per company). Click here to register. Travel costs are the responsibility of the attendee but there is no registration fee. Please direct any questions to Biocom’s Director of Federal Policy and Government Affairs, Laure Fabrega.
