Event Information

Please join us in welcoming Assembly Republican Leader Martin Garrick to our legislative roundtable series. These meetings provide the unique opportunity to have a casual conversation to discuss pertinent life science issues with our elected officials.

In late January, Assemblyman Martin Garrick was elected Assembly Republican leader at a meeting of the Assembly Republican Caucus.

Assembly Republican Leader Martin Garrick is San Diego's North County State Assemblyman for the 74th District. Garrick is a small business owner and lifelong conservative advocate. As an Assemblyman, Garrick's priorities are: improving California's business climate and transportation infrastructure; tax and regulation reform and immigration and public safety.

In the 1980's, Garrick joined the Reagan for President Campaign at national headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. He then moved to the White House transition team and thereafter into a number of positions in the Reagan Administration, including Deputy Senate House Liaison. After leaving the Reagan Administration, Garrick founded Admiral Industries, Inc., a telecommunications company. He also owns and manages Admiral Property Company, a real estate investment firm.

Additionally, Garrick's extensive community activism included roles on the Solana Beach Crime Commission, Solana Beach Budget Committee and the San Diego County Cable and Television Review Committee.
