Event Policies

Attendee Promise

I agree to follow event policies (including health and safety policies) and posted instructions while at the event. According to the CDC, older adults and people of all ages with serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. I understand and agree that I will evaluate my risk in determining whether to attend the event.

Self-Monitoring Health: I promise not to attend if I have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with the virus.

Respecting Others’ Comfort Levels: I acknowledge that I should respect others’ personal space and comfort levels regarding physical contact, like handshakes.

Event Cancellation or Postponement

Biocom California reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If Biocom California cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund within 30 days and notified via email. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund and/or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date, if available.

Refunds and Transfers

Event Refunds

Unless specifically stated on a particular event, in order to receive a full refund, you must cancel your registration at least 5 business days prior to the event date. Should you cancel your registration after the 5 business days, you will not be eligible for a refund. Conferences and larger events will require more notice and will be stated on the specific event materials and website. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment.

Event Transfers

You may transfer your registration to another colleague, should you no longer be able to attend, as long as they are at the same organization as you. Please note that you cannot apply your registration to a different event should you be unable to attend and/or find a substitute.

Photo and Media Release

Biocom California Events and Conferences may be recorded and may have a professional photographer on-site. By attending our events, you hereby acknowledge that photography, audio, and video recording may occur. You consent to and authorize the use and reproduction of all photography and/or videography that has been taken during our events, without compensation. By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video, or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement, or for any fees for the use of such records.
