The Biocom California Institute’s seventh annual Life Science Workforce Symposium is unique to the life science industry. Simulcast in San Diego, the Bay Area and Los Angeles, the symposium raises awareness about career opportunities that are beyond the lab and is designed for job seekers who are currently underrepresented at industry companies and organizations, including first-generation college students and veterans. The symposium allows attendees to hear directly from individuals who successfully navigated their career journey in this industry.

2023 Life Science Workforce Trends Report
The sixth edition of the Life Science Workforce Trends Report, a collaboration between TEConomy Partners LLC and the Coalition of State Bioscience Institutes (CSBI), examines the evolving life sciences workforce in the U.S., which has demonstrated resilience and growth despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic. This report explores key trends in the life sciences sector, such as a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), adaptation to remote and hybrid work arrangements, and the impact of technology investments. The findings are drawn from nearly 2.8 million unique job postings and a national survey of 700 companies, and offers insights into recent and anticipated hiring patterns, workforce dynamics, wage trends, remote work policies, difficult-to-fill positions, and future hiring plans within the life sciences industry.
