Alexandria Cogdill is the Senior Director of Global External Innovation, Global Business Development at Daiichi Sankyo. She has worked at world leading institutions such as the National Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, the University of Pennsylvania, Flagship Pioneering, the Institute Gustave Roussy, among others. In addition to her work in business development, venture capital, and corporate strategy, Dr. Cogdill has 15 years of experience in drug discovery and research management; having published >60 scientific articles in the translational immunology space with 15,000+ citations.
Dr. Cogdill earned her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology at the University of North Carolina, Pembroke, her master’s degree in Engineering Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania, and her PhD in Immunology from the University of Texas under the advisement of Nobel Laureate Dr. Jim Allison.
Overall, Dr. Cogdill is a passionate leader who continues to pursue opportunities benefiting human health. Away from the office, Alex enjoys reading, swimming, and travel. She currently lives in the New York Metropolitan area with her husband, son, and two dogs.
