Daisy Xin, Ph.D.

Science Officer, Discovery and Education

Daisy Xin is a Science Officer at the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, where she focuses on education initiatives and discovery research in regenerative medicine. Before coming to CIRM, she worked on microfluidic-based diagnostic and research technologies as a Research Scientist at HP. Daisy was trained as a developmental biologist at Yale, where she received her PhD in Genetics. As a graduate student, she studied the roles of cell signaling in cilia, and how dysfunction can lead to developmental defects. While having experienced working in both academia and industry, her passion for improving science education and communication ultimately led her to CIRM. Through this work, she hopes to increase awareness of regenerative medicine for diverse students throughout California and continue to grow the stem cell workforce.
