Institutional Review Board (IRB) Education and Outreach Lead, UC Davis
Stephen Falwell is a research ethics and regulatory professional with experience in clinical research, human research protections and community engagement. He serves as the Education and Outreach Lead for the UC Davis Institutional Review Board (IRB), the committee that reviews research involving human participants and helps protect their rights, safety and welfare.
Building on his work in researcher education, Stephen engages with the greater Sacramento community through programs that introduce high school students to clinical research and initiatives that strengthen best practices for including LGBTQIA+ participants in research.
Stephen also serves as an Aorta Advocate with the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, providing peer support to individuals and families affected by aortic disease.
