Shannon Odam serves as the chief people officer of Geron Corporation and has supported the company’s evolution from clinical stage through FDA approval and commercial launch since joining in 2019. She is an accomplished executive coach and organizational people leader noted for her ability to align the various aspects of the human resources function with business needs in a way that allows for successful business transformation. Shannon’s commitment to effective leadership is visible in how she coaches both individuals and teams, as well as how she creates sustainable systems. She is a founding member of the Biotech CHRO Sisterhood and was named 2025 Visionary of the Year for her work supporting Blood Cancer United. Shannon holds a master’s degree in organizational development and an executive coaching credential from the Hudson Institute.
