Arun Thottumkara is a drug hunter and investor. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard and his Ph.D. from Stanford, both in chemistry. After finishing his Ph.D., Arun transitioned to industry as the seventh employee of Revolution Medicines where he helped build the company’s scientific team, vision and early programs. He then moved to Denali Therapeutics as an early employee. At Denali, he spent several years building and leading programs in the neurodegeneration space. In 2022, Arun moved to San Diego to help open the San Diego site of Odyssey Therapeutics, where he led programs across oncology and immunology. Arun is a co-inventor of multiple molecules that have entered clinical development across oncology, immunology and neurodegeneration. Since 2025, Arun has been at the biotech venture capital firm Curie.Bio where he works with a range of entrepreneurs to build the next generation of biopharma companies.
