2022 Highlights
|
Beyond Benefits Trust
The relaunch of the Biocom California’s Beyond Benefits Trust, offered in partnership with Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), has been a major highlight to the year for the Biocom California team and members alike. The trust enables employers to pool together under one common entity to take advantage of pricing stabilization, rich employee benefits, and many value-added services. Covering 35,000 lives, Beyond Benefits has consistently delivered long-term rate stability and security for our members. Schedule a call with your regional Biocom California representative if you are interested to learn more.
Purchasing Group Advisory Committee
We are thrilled to share the relaunch of our Purchasing Group Advisory Committee under the direction of Melissa Lucas, Supplier Portfolio Director. The PG Advisory Committee provides an opportunity within the life science community to discuss purchasing trends and best practices among fellow thought leaders. Tailored for success, the committee will now function as a singular unit across California, with opportunities for working groups based on regional needs, industry segmentation, and more. If you are interested in joining, reach out to Melissa Lucas.

Our Commitment to Our Communities
|
In 2022, we relaunched and revamped our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) both internally and externally. Our strategic DE&I initiative aims to take action to advance a welcoming and thriving industry that recognizes the value of individuals with diverse backgrounds, talents, experiences, and perspectives. In 2023, we are committed to channeling our momentum and continuing to evolve and expand our outreach by partnering with you. We invite all members to join us in our commitment to drive meaningful action by subscribing to our newsletter, attending our upcoming DE&I events, visiting our DE&I Resource Center, and signing our DE&I Member Pledge.
Additionally, in 2023, Biocom California has committed to focus on key sustainability initiatives that impact our industry while spotlighting our members and partners who are doing crucial work to extend the life and health of our planet. Each quarter, the Purchasing Group will host a sustainability event bringing together thought leaders and industry experts to discuss the ways in which the life science community can implement realistic change. Together, we look to develop more sustainable business practices through the implementation of sustainability programs and procurement of greener products. If you are interested in being a part of our sustainability conversation, fill out this
short interest indicator and we will reach out with updates, resources, and opportunities to collaborate as they come to fruition.
