Chief People Officer, Denali Therapeutics
Cindy Dunkle is chief people officer at Denali Therapeutics, where she leads human resources, facilities, operations and environmental health and safety (EH&S). She partners with the executive team and board to align people strategy with business objectives, building the talent, culture and organizational capabilities that accelerate innovation and company performance.
Since joining Denali, Cindy has helped scale the organization from an early-stage biotechnology company to a commercial-stage enterprise, shaping leadership, organizational effectiveness, workforce strategy, executive compensation, succession planning and talent acquisition to support sustained growth.
With more than 30 years of leadership experience in biotechnology, Cindy is recognized for building high-performing organizations and developing leaders who deliver meaningful business and patient impact. Prior to Denali, she held leadership roles at Avalanche Biotechnologies (now Adverum Biotechnologies) and Genentech.
Cindy serves on the boards of Seeks Labs, Life Science Cares Bay Area and BioHive, where she is vice chair.
