As the State Government Affairs Manager for Biocom California, Gilbert Lara advocates for policies that promote the growth and innovation of California’s life sciences industry. He works closely with legislators, regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to address public policy issues, foster collaboration and enhance Biocom California’s impact at the state level.
With nearly a decade of experience across local and state government, Gilbert has built extensive expertise in legislative affairs, policymaking and stakeholder engagement. Before joining Biocom California, he held various legislative roles, where he developed and advanced policy initiatives, advised elected officials and facilitated connections between lawmakers and key industries through strategic events and partnerships.
