Group Lead, Global Technical Support
I-Farn Lei earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and Translational Medicine from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where her research focused on stroke and stem cell transplantation. Her work explored minimally invasive methods for delivering neural progenitor cells into the ischemic brain. Following her academic training, I-Farn transitioned into the biotechnology industry, beginning her career in Quality Control with a focus on testing and qualifying raw materials used in GMP manufacturing processes.
She currently serves as Group Leader of the Global Technical Support team at Miltenyi Biotec in San Diego. In this role, she leads a team dedicated to providing high-quality technical support for Miltenyi’s instrumentation used in cell and gene therapy applications. Under her leadership, the team ensures 24/7 global support, including weekends and holidays, aligning with the fast-paced demands of the cell and gene therapy field.
