Co-Founder & CEO, Terray Therapeutics
Jacob is the CEO and co-founder of Terray, established in 2018 to advance innovative hardware developed with his team. This technology generates highly precise data that, combined with advanced computational methods and artificial intelligence, supports the discovery of transformative medicines. Under Jacob’s leadership, Terray has assembled a team of experts in artificial intelligence, drug development, engineering, and operations. The company is progressing an internal immunology pipeline and collaborating with partners across multiple therapeutic areas to address unmet patient needs.
Jacob’s academic work centered on the intersection of nanotechnology and chemistry, earning him industry recognition and numerous awards. He holds 20 patents, a BA in Chemistry from Harvard, and a PhD in organometallic chemistry from Caltech, where he studied with Nobel Laureate Bob Grubbs. He completed his postdoctoral training at MIT and Rice University, specializing in synthetic chemistry and nanotechnology, before founding his lab at City of Hope. Jacob lives with his family in the Los Angeles area.
