Jay Stamatis, MBA

Vice President, Head of Business Development and Acquisitions, AbbVie

Jay Stamatis joined AbbVie in December 2016 as Vice President of Business Development & Acquisitions reporting to Henry Gosebruch, Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy Office.

Jay joined the team with a diverse biotech and pharma experience base. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Business Development at Atara Bio.  Prior to joining Atara Bio, Jay worked at Acerta Pharma, currently a subsidiary of AstraZeneca, Onyx Pharmaceuticals, now a subsidiary of Amgen, Amgen and Eli Lilly in a variety of business development and commercial leadership roles.

Jay earned his Bachelor Degree in History from Tulane University and a Master of Business Administration Degree in Marketing and Strategy from Washington University, Olin School of Business.
