Pantea Khodami is a visionary leader at the intersection of genomics, precision medicine and cloud technology. An MIT-trained scientist, she began her career at Illumina, where over 12 years she held leadership roles across product management and strategy and launched more than 30 precision medicine products. Her work included the groundbreaking HiSeq X Ten platform, which helped make the $1,000 genome a reality. Today, Pantea leads life sciences solutions and strategy at AWS, harnessing the power of the cloud to accelerate precision medicine, advance diagnostics, and transform drug discovery and development. A TEDx speaker and recognized thought leader, she is also a dedicated advocate for women and underrepresented communities in STEM. Pantea serves on the boards of Athena, a global organization advancing women in STEM, and San Diego Squared (SD2), which connects underrepresented students with education, mentorship and careers in science and technology.
