CIRM Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Silvia Vicenzi is a CIRM Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UC San Diego, Chair of the UCSD Postdoctoral Association, and co-leader of the Diversity and Science Lecture Series (DASL), supported by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Diversity Grant. She is the creator and host of the DASL Podcast, which elevates the stories of underrepresented trainees in STEM. Through this initiative, Dr. Vicenzi seeks to inspire and empower others by sharing strategies for navigating adversity in academia. She also contributes to discussions on bridging diversity and disparity gaps. Her mission is to create a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable scientific community by shaping the university into a safer and more accessible environment for all.
