Simone serves as Editor in Chief at BioCentury, overseeing analysis, research and data across BioCentury’s intelligence platform. She drives coverage of innovation across the ecosystem, and moderates panels globally on key topics for the biopharma industry. Simone has interviewed thought leaders across the industry, including pharma CEOs, R&D leaders, top VCs and bankers, regulators and more. She is co-host of The BioCentury Show and a regular on the BioCentury This Week podcast. Previously, Simone was a translational scientist in industry and academia, at Nektar Therapeutics, Exponent Inc., and the Weizmann Institute of Science. She is an active advocate for women in leadership and was on the board of Women in Bio from 2013-20. Simone performed a post-doc at UCSF in GPCR signaling systems. She holds a Ph.D. from the Weizmann in molecular pharmacology, and an M.A. and B.A. in Pharmacology from Cambridge University. Simone is a Fulbright scholar.
