California Leads the Nation in Life Science Manufacturing 🔬
According to Biocom California’s 2025 Economic Impact Report, California has over 141,000 manufacturing-related life science jobs, making it the top state in the nation for this sector. One of the three largest life science manufacturing employment clusters, surgical and medical instrument manufacturing, grew by 5% in 2024, adding more than 1,300 jobs to the state economy. This data highlights the importance of nurturing a robust workforce focused in manufacturing.
