Dr. Guosong Hong is an associate professor of materials science and engineering at Stanford University, where he was promoted with tenure in September 2026. In 2024, his lab reported in Science the world’s first live transparent mice, a discovery that has catalyzed follow-up studies in deep-tissue imaging and neural modulation. His honors include the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and a Sloan Research Fellowship.
