Alexander Titus, Ph.D., is vice president of artificial intelligence & machine learning at Avidity Biosciences, leading a multidisciplinary team to accelerate bringing therapies for rare diseases to patients. He also serves as a Commissioner on the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology, advising Congress on advancing the U.S. bioeconomy. A founder, investor, academic, policymaker and author, Titus brings a unique perspective at the intersection of biotechnology and AI. He earned his Ph.D. in AI and bioinformatics from Dartmouth and dual degrees in biochemistry and biology from the University of Puget Sound.
