Maya Gosztyla, Ph.D., is co-founder and chief scientific officer of BrainStorm Therapeutics, where she leads the development of patient-derived brain organoid models and AI-driven platforms to accelerate drug discovery for neurological diseases. During her Ph.D. at UC San Diego, she discovered novel RNA-binding proteins and developed RNA-targeted therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders. Beyond her research, Maya is a recognized advocate for equity and inclusion, co-authoring a widely cited PLoS article on anti-racism in STEM and communicating science through her award-winning Alzheimer’s blog.
